Coolant in extrusions.

Anyone ever find an easy set up to put coolant extrusions on the running boards of a stock tunnel?

Will either the the cat or polaris extrusion fit on with some changing of the foot boards?

Keep thinking about changing the tunnel out but for 2k I keep wondering if there would be some other options. I need to bend up the tunnel so it would make the decision easier hehe.

you'd be further ahead doing something like a skinz board. CR tunnels still hold to much snow and I jsut finished cutting my running boards off my one yr old tunnel:face-icon-small-sho

Already have better boards on but the running boards are sagging like crazy. The extrusions with coolant are stronger and would reduce the sag. Also if I run a tunnel cooler then I can more confidently remove the radiator and front tunnel cooler.

I have seen this done on 1 nytro and look decent and was super strong/zero sagging. Unfortunately the extrusions where custom bent and the guy does not do it anymore.

We use CR Racing Parts on our OEM tunnels

CR wants.
360 for extrusions
40 for kick up
300 for cooler
180 for rad delete
40 for rivets.

60 per side for unbent extrusion if a person was brave enough to bend their own.

all plus tax and shipping, I was told the extrusion they use on their nytro tunnel should/will fit an oem tunnel. Seems to me if this project is going to cost around 1k in parts that most would save the cash towards a completely new tunnel, esp if they where planning to do the work themselves. A guy could probably find a better deal on coolers and the rad delete I know can be fabed up for a lot less then 180.

2200 tunnel
80 rivets
I am going to shop around for some cat extrusions and see what I can come up with. I wonder how much the hcr versions are? I am surprised no one else has done this?

Picked up a cat extrusion. Looks like it should work with a bit of massaging. Need to revamp my footboards a bit.

Looking forward to reduce the sagging boards.

Get a set of extrusions from one of the M sleds. They are very strong and you can heat them (I used a small butane torch) and bend them to fit. You can use hoses to attach to a cooler or find a good tig welder. Go slow with the bending so you don't kink them.
