coolant in engine '06 900

The sled has 250 miles on it. Rode it last week, started smelling coolant, stopped, and found it was getting into the PTO cylinder. I took the engine out, did new pistons and base and top end gaskets. Put it all back together and when it still is doing the same thing. The sled has not over heated since I got it. I just puchased it with 150 miles on it and it ran great for 60 miles. Anyone have any ideas?

When I bought mine brand new there was a flaw in the crankcase. The dealerhip that replaced my motor said that when the factory bored the holes for the fuel injectors into the crankcase, they drilled too far and hit the water jacket, and this allowed coolant into the . I ended up getting an entire new motor from polaris for this.

They also have an update that stated the case holes for the cylinders were too shallow..they added washers under the cylinder bolts to keep the cylinders tight to the case...

If u don't have washers look it up and get them...doesn't make a good seal and you will lose coolant in the engine

I looked into the head bolts. I checked with the dealer and that doesn't apply to this VIN#, but I may try anyway.

it isn't the head bolts, it is the short cylinder bolts that had issues. i always install a washer under all the ones i do it is just safer to do it than not to do it.
the rear short bolts are the ones with issues.

I just pulled the engine. When I removed the injectors, you could see where the cooling jacket broke through into the injector port on the case. I talked to the local Polaris dealer and he said he would call Polaris to see if there was anything they could do for me. I'll keep y'all posted.
