cooke or togatee cant decide!

Went to cooke in January and had a blast lots of good deep snow! I hear good things of togatee just wondering how similar or how different they are......lodging, gas prices etc me and my buddys already planning for next year just looking for suggestions

looking for the same info; please let me know, just got back from west and snow was down but elevation was a blast with two plus feet of powder everywhere.

Tog is very large area compared to cooke. I dont think there is much difference in cost unless you are a real penny pincher and get pissed if gas is 10 cents higher. Being your first trip to tog I would stay at TML and rent a guide at least the first day. I have been to tog 2x and the next time I will rent a guide again worth every penny! The spots we went at tog didnt have the wide open hill climbing everywhere like cooke but it does have a nice variety of terrain.

Cooke or Togwotee

As mentioned earlier, Cooke City area is much smaller than Togwotee. If you like high marking, Cooke may be your gig, but Togwotee has way more area and a great variety. I have road both, mostly Togwotee and you can go places and won't see anyone else all day. Cooke definitely has more base.
