Connecting Group ride to garmin in reach

Has anyone been able or know how to connect the G8 group ride to a garmin inreach for tracking? No one else I ride with has a new catalyst but most of them have/carry their in reach's and it would be awesome to figure out how to track them

That feature can be found under the apps category click on apps and the inreach prompt is middle left on the screen!.
