Carbondale-Lost Lake ride

Rode today from the gates at Lynx back to lost and had a blast. Snow was very wet and set up almost everywhere but up very high. The snow melted so fast today we only rode across approx. 200 ft. dirt in the morning and 2 miles on the same way out @ 4 pm. to the trucks. Safe to say with the hot temps this week the season around castle is nearing the end.

We rode Atlas on Saturday, found great powder on the way out in the morning, but with the warm temperatures in the afternoon found the snow was setting up quickly. I would imagine by now travel past the north shelter is pretty much impossible. It was touch and go keeping the slides cool in the afternoon with all the bare spots on the road riding back.
