Conditions at SLO?

Rode Friday, was spring time conditions. Snowed all day Sunday, but not much in accumilation. Lots of snow still out there, unfortunately, the last two weeks have been real warm and sunny, so the roads are all dry or muddy. No snow or ice on the roads, which makes access a real pain in the rear.

Rode past Columbine and into Wyo Thurs and Fri. Hero snow. Pray for snow or just have a good time wearing a t-shirt while riding.

I hope the conditions improve, I only get one good trip a year and I want it to be a good one.

Start taking your trip in January or early February. March snow is too unpredictable. Example: Last week I rode in 12" new and it was wet and heavy. Today I rode in 24"-36" of fresh and it was fluffy! For the most part, March is the beginning of hero snow. You can go anywhere with no challenge.

we just got back, we have been out there since last friday, we stayed at dutch creek on the other side of the lake, never gonna stay there again, don't really cater to sled guest, like most said hero snow, we found some nice pow out past farwell mountain and also some northeast of little red park ( i think that was the area)
