Computer savvy guys help for a virus?

I recently got my email hacked by a virus and it was blowing out spam emails from my work PC. I ran the typical scans and there is nothing. My computer is on a network with the main office and this virus seems to be jumping from PC to PC randomly.

Any suggestions on programs to scan with or how to protect my PC?

What security suite are you using. If freeware go buy Symantec or alternate.

Usually http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free works good to remove trojans.
Regardless of security suite the trojans can reach a computer, in a network with many computers it's essential to have some central management to be able to get reports, schedule scans and keep all computers updated with latest virus def.

Change your password on your email account.
You may also want to make a copy your contact list and then delete all of your contacts out of your email account.

I'm inclined to agree with Skiddox. Sounds more like an email hack job than a virus. Happened to me a few months ago. My cel phone started getting emails at like 330 in the morning, turns out they were from "me". (Apparently, "I" really wanted people to "Improve Your Prospects!!" or "Make Your Life Count!")
Anyway, change your email password and you will probably be fine. Make it a combination of letters and numbers and symbols. And make it at least 8 characters long. As the number of characters increase, the possible number of combinations increase exponentially, thus making it that much more difficult for the douchebag hackers to crack your password.
