That's another good thing about a kpa, the bearing is preloaded so it can run at any angle, its my understanding the comp cant.
I didn't get more than two miles on mine but it still looks new and will continue to, due to the all stainless housing and billet aluminum center section.
Larry, i got about 750 miles on my self lube kpa 2860 this season without issues. Even sent a few things through it. (oops)
If your just trying to ditch the oil system, check out how silber and BD are doing it now with ball bearing turbos. t into your injection lines and just cap turbo outlet. This uses the stock pump to keep pressure on the line and it will slowly burn a tiny amount of it. I did a few customers sleds like this and no issues so far with 1000's of miles total on sleds i know running it.
