code 17 on 09 m-8

throws code 17 when warm,not when cold, when icheck continuity with omh meter it shows ok , any advice ? if the sensor is bad and i replace it does dealer have to remove the code?

it's the sensor - replace it and the code will go away ..........

hey its a bad sensor and the computer will clear the code on its own

That was happening on my 08 M8 just replace the temp sensor and it will go away. Bring it into dealer and they should warranty it.
