Coalmont Snow Conditions

The road is paved all the way through Coalmont to Tulameen and about 8km further.... The Coalmont Road is apparantly rated as the tenth best motorcycle road in BC....

It has a couple of bumps and one very narrow spot with restricted visibility.... and there are often a few rocks on the road and deer to watch out for.... otherwise it would rate even higher.... It's twisty, scenic, and hilly.... what's not to like !!!

We had another inch of snow overnight.... yesterday's warm temperatures compacted the base to 11".... Currently -3*C in Coalmont and partly cloudy....

Most of the snow on the roofs in town is gone and the base has compacted to 9".... We had no new snow overnight in Coalmont, but just a few hundred feet above the town there is a fresh snowline on the trees.... We have been able to hear the Snowmobiles on the hills across the River for the past few days, so there is definitely some sledding going on....

there has been NO new snow in like two weeks , that line you see in the trees is the (hore) frost line . from the inversion , it's way warmer up top than it is down town colemont .
