My 2012 163 800 is overreving just a bit at 3000ft up to 5000ft, most days it pull around 8200 to 8300 with 64's in it every thing is stock except delrins in secondary. what are most guys running for weight's at that altitude? not sure if it'll pull 66's? I think im gonna try them with a helix i got on the bench (64-40.40 or the 62-38.40) with stk secondary spring. If im thinking right this should keep the rpm's up, when she's loaded up on deep wet days?
These big helix's are a pain to pack into the backcountry to test, never mind swapping springs over!

60/40-.36 Helis works great for me in my 163. Stock secondary spring. I've got a Pa head on mine so I'm running about 2 grams more weight than a stock one would. I'm running 71g mtx's with 2g in the belly and 2g in the tip. But, I also ride from 1-3000' feet mostly. At 3000' Im pulling an even 8000rpm which is also my target. These things pull harder there than they do at 82-83 like the dragons did. Buddy is running a stock secondary on his with the slp mtx weights on his stock 163. Runs consistant and solid from sealevel to 5k' with 68g with 3g in the belly and 1g in tip. Going to a heavy heel weight is key with this motor.

I run 68 gram mtxs with 2 grams in the belly 1 gram in the tip...slp blue/pink primary, stock secondary with 2 delrins, on a bone stock 163..this setup gets me 7950 to 8150 from sealevel all the way up to 5000 ft..clutches run pretty cool and no belt issues so far......sled is extremely responsive and rips good...

Thanks guys! I threw in a team bright green primary spring with 10-66's.
My next qeustion is about the helix, do you line up the stamped numbers with the X before u drop it in,or when its seated the stamped angle numbers line up where x is? I would think the outer sheave x should line up with the roller x also right?? I always wondered if i had it the right way or not.
