Clutching with P A head?

I just got my 13.6 PA head, riding 7000 to 10000. Can we pull two grams more weight with this head? I was also going to run a SLP 140/340 spring which is 10 pounds more than stock which I believe would increase the RPM by 100. And a little stiffer in the 2nd for backshift. Dealer said they run 10-62s all year, so do you think I can pull 10-64s?

Polaris recommends 6-8000ft 62gr and 8-10,000 60gr,u say the slp spring will increase rpm by 100,...i think that the 64's would be too heavy and u won't hit the proper rpms...62's should work great but if riding 8-10,000 think i would maybe look at 60's...good luck

VFR you will want the 10-62 in your sled if your cluctching is bone stock. That is what I run in mine at our altitude. If you have any questions call me.

Are you refering to the 12.5 combo I am not sure what the 2.5 is. Some cases you will not need to add weight . Check engine rpm and make your max rpm 8150 ish and it will work great.

At that elevation you could run the 13.6 domes instead of the 12.5 just a thought. Brad

I ride at 6500 ft or so with this combo. 13.1 head and can. The first ride I could only pull about 7900-8000 with the stock clutching( running pre-mix and brand new sled). Now with 150 miles on I am reving 8250-8300. So i will definately need to run the 10/64 weights all else being stock.

hey brad. i am looking at getting your head and i just need a few more questions. i live at 2300 ft give or take and i can get rate up to 9000ft. what type of fuel would i need to run at home with the 13.6 head and what weight should i run in my sled? ave gas is the easiest to get for me. Thanks!

If you want to run 2-3 gallons of av or race gas with the 13.6 head . If you want strictly pump gas use the 13.1 head.
