Is there anybody out there running a P85 clutch with a Rk tek 925 bb?? I'm running 10-68 weights in my P85 and the polaris black spring. The secondary is stock cat.. I was only getting 7700 rpm and supposed to see 8300.. I didn't have a brand new belt to try but I will put a new one on the next time I ride. What setups have worked for anyone else??

Thanks for any input....

I have an 09HCR with a Speedwerx 925 and a P-85 primary. I run 75.5 grams and a 125/340 H5 spring. My secondary is set-up with a 42-32 progressive helix, a 170-270 H5 spring and a shift assist. I run @ 8,000 RPM at 7,000 ft. with the Speedwerx kit.

Christe that is some nice weight your pulling. What pipe?
M6johnny is this 925 a HO or 09 or older? Polaris black spring will have a dot (color) and what elevation you at?

Im running the HO motor with high elevation inserts. Running between 10000-12000 feet. I believe the spring is a polaris black with yellow dot. 140-330.. It is the same spring that Kurt from FTX put in my P85 clutch from the start.

weld a bung into the fat part of the pipe and get a A/F gauge

So can I ask did you have the engine in and running @ 8300 RPM before installing the P-85? Have you made any other changes at the same time as the P-85? Just trying to get an idea of where to look so I can supply you with some information that will help.

I did the P85 before the 925. I have never had an issue with hitting optimal rpm until doing the big bore. Thats why I am thinking its got to be clutching.

Not always, if they were too loose you wouldn't get a code (because the system would still cycle), they wouldn't open all the way and the engine would not rev properly. My concern is that your clutch was working and from the weights, spring etc. you mentioned you should be around 82-8300 RPM at 10,000 ft... worst case you should be seeing really high RPMs at lower levels.

I'm not running the P85 but it is not the problem.Drop the weights to 63g. It will run spot on or you will find the problem. If you have a problem it will be in your secondary binding up. With the 63g weights, if the secondary needs rebushed, it will bind up at around 6800 RPM. There will be times that you get 8400 RPM's but when it binds it won't shift out of it until you stop then restart. With the 68g weights you can pull past the binding point but never get the proper RPM's. Then call RACIN STATION to rebuild the secondary.
