Clutching question

Did some more tuning with the Tied. Running cooler now. When going to WOT the Rs go to 6500 then climb slower to 8200. Any ideas? I'm guessing that plateau is the transition between the 59 and 64 on the Helix, does that seem right? running the gold/blk spring

As said, I would gear taller....maybe around 1.7-1.8 ratio.
I havn't done anything woth a Polar so I can't offer much advice there....but try to control the RPM mainly with the primary and backshift/RPM recovery time with the secondary.....tuning RPM with the secondary is a no-no.
Do you have other ramp profiles to play with? Spring rates?

Been playing with several ramp profiles that are cut to load the motor less in the bottom end, they have definitely helped. From my logging it looks like the driven is letting it run to about 6800 really fast then loading the motor more so it climbs slower to operating RPM after that. Running the 170/240 with a .090 shim with the 57-62-.36 Feels like if the 57 part of the helix was longer it wouldn't stall out at 6800.

As for gearing Jason at team recommended gearing in the 2.1-2.3 range. I will try a higher gear when I dig one up.

Try getting ahold of Gus Boohne on here. He is one of the formost experts on big HP turbos and turbo's period. He has turbo'd about anything on the planet. I would bet, he could get you really close.
