Clutching for Cooke City, MT

Hi,

I was wondering what you guys would recomend for clutching on my 2005 Rmk 900 151 for Cooke City? I am currently set up with the stock secondary and my primary has the black green spring with 10-78 weights for riding in the upper peninsula.

Ive been to Cooke City a few years in a row now with my 06 900. I actually run the 11 series weights....72 grams with a black/green spring. I also run the newer Polaris P2 clutch but I dont recall what I was running in there.....I would have to go check that. Then I was running 19-41 gearing. Sled ran great. Cant wait to get back to Cooke this year myself.

put some 10/70s in the primary you will be good for the trip thats what i put in to go to cooke 05 900 151

what RPMs are you guys running with that set up I really dont want to run the sled over 7800rpm

Yep......I was running around 7700-7750.

7600-7800 WITH 10/70 THE 10/72 WILL WORK WILL JUST HOLD YOUR RPMS DOWN 100 OR 200 IF YOU HAVE THE STOCK HELIX WATCH YOUR BELT HEAT
IF THE SNOW IS DEEP AND PULING HARD HAVE FUN GREAT PLACE TO RIDE.

would these changes work for a 2006 700 RMK as well going to Cooke City?
