iam trying to learn how to set up my own clutching "team secondary" what does each number on a team helix mean and how does it affect the sled and what the number mean on the spring and what they affect
i cant just keep buying different helixs gets exspensive and i wana become a pro at tuneing these things so somebody with alot of exsperince help me please thanks

your best investment right now is to get a clutching basic handbook...aaens etc..or good manual...once you read abit on it you can narrow your question down and the answers start to hit home...helix numbers mean angles and angles mean resistance..typically steeper helix..faster upshift which can be offset by stiffer spring...which can affect rpms ..efficiency etc.. which if your happy with the secondary then you adjust rpms with primary....you can have multi angle helixes etc
steep angle at first for upshifting then less angle near top..or reverse helixes etc..does the opposite..springs in secoundary numbers and in primary a rated...starting compression ...increase in rates etc...dalton or many websites that sell springs have rates listed...sometimes rather then change springs thin shims is all ya need to change things...check with a good shop in your area...a good shop will let you trade out springs/helixes /weights at no cost with used ones they have till you get the combination you want because even experienced sledders don;t want to pay as well...but yep clutching is a interesting world...starts with some reading...lots of info online..in forums and off forums..
