hi

im currently running mds weights at 66.5 grams and blk/green primary spring (120-340) and stock secondery

at 1000 - 3000 feet elevation (sweden)

changed out my track for a series 6 and now i cant seem to get the revs upp to 8250..

pulls hard upp to and holds around 8000 rpm..

ran the 120- 310 primary spring last year with stock track and pulled 8300 in the deep...

would like to se 8300+ in the low snow conditions as of now (2.5' snow fairly set up snow)

should i shave som weight or do any work to the secondary ?

best regards Christoffer

You could definitely try going to a stiffer secondary spring to help with the increased load. Might also have to change helix. What is the stock helix for that elevation?

Are you pulling full RPM's on the trail?

More than likely if you only changed track and saw a difference in RPM your first stop is to change your secondary set-up.

Might want to consider gearing down as well.

When I put my 3" track on I went to a 60-40-40 helix and a black purple secondary spring but thats also for 10,000+ elevation.

Clutching Setup

Your weights are set just about right for your elevation, so I would recommend putting a stiffer secondary spring in it. It will make the egine rev higher before being fully compressed. In our clutch kit that we run, we run a steeper helix than stock, and a little bit stiffer secondary spring. If you want to go with a proven clutch kit that works well, I would just say that you could call me up and I could get you set up with our clutch kit, and that should be all you need to do! We ship all over the world, and could get one out to you in pretty quick order!

I had to go with a black pink at 1600 ft. Big me and the big 163 was giving the motor a hard time keeping the rpm up. No smoked belts as per what people were saying.

Thanks

for the response..
i have a black/purple secondary spring (160-240) laying around

i will start from there and see :)
