clutch weights for the pro

I've got a set sitting on the bench for install into my new sled this year.

I ran them last year on a Dragon and on a 900 and had excellent results... the quality is great the the adjustability of the weight is fast and easy.

Looking fwd to seeing how they work on the new sled when it arrives.

pro clutching

I've been wondering about these weights too. I have an '011 Assault RMK and do most of my riding in Minnesota, but make a mountain trip once in a while. Can you get these light enough for elevation? I have a tied clutch waiting to put on this winter too. I run the competition track here in MN and have a series 5, 2.4 to put on for the mountain riding. I'll probably look for a set of rats at Hay days. Thanks MH.

I thought we would hear more from mountain horse on this as I thought I remembered him stating that he had picked some up last fall. I'm in a quandry with my clutching and would love to have some adjustability for changes in elevation.

Hiwayman I picked up an '11 assault this spring and I also ride in mn. With the weights that came with your sled does the motor hit the rev limiter in mn?

The dealer clutched mine for MN. before I took it home, so no I don't hit the rev limiter. Runs at 8250 rpm. with this set up.
20/42 gearing- stock in the Assault 155
10/66 weights with the stock 140/330 black drive spring
64/42.36 helix with the stock black spring which is 155/222 I think, in the stock tss 04 driven.
I have a team tied driven that I'll install this fall and will run the team recomended helix and springs for what ever elevation I'll be riding.
I may try a set of these rat weights too.
I'll put the series 5.1 track on for mountain riding and leave the competition track on for MN running. After the first track change I'll also run a little different gearing here in the flat land. it could could pull a little more gear in MN. Really enjoyed this sled last winter. BIG Improvement over the "07 IQ chassis I traded in!!!!
