Clutch Weights and Pipe

When i purchased my sled it had a crank shop pipe on it from the previous owner. Due to a recent crash that left my pipe crumbled i purchased a stock one i found used for a good price. After putting the stock pipe on i have lost roughly 400-600 rpm my sled seems to be pulling around 7600-7800 as where before it would pull easy all day to 8200rpm. My question is could this be an issue with the clutch weights ive never played with any snowmobile clutches so im rather inexperienced in the area. But after some research and asking around ive heard that my clutches may have had the weights adjusted for the extra power that the pipe would provide. Im now wondering if going back to the stock pipe i need to change out the weights. My snowmobile is a 2007 Summit X 800 with a 151" track. Any input would be awesome. Thanks!

Make sure the jetting is also back to stock. Most twin pipes require bigger main jets. I believe stock were 470's. If they are bigger, first correct that and see what you get for RPM. Ideal is 8400 on the 07. Drop about 1g of pin weight for every 200rpm.

thanks ill look into it and let you know. Although it was twin piped it was just a single ceramic coated crank shop pipe but ill look into what size the jets are!
