So I am changing the rivets in the primary weights question is , how do I get the revits to stay in place? Use a press to flaten them or Brutis them in with a hammer. Thanks Dino

peen them with a hammer, just make sure the arm is on a flat surface so you dont mess up the arm. depending on what rivets you are installing, it usually doesnt take much. i smack them until they are tight enough to stay in place.

i usually just set the weight on the anvil and give her a few good wacks with a mini sledge and it only takes a minute or two to do all three. It sucks grinding them all off, but its easy to put them back on. What i did was just buy three new weights and rivet a mountain set, even though they are like $25 a piece, its nice to just take out the weight and switch it with the back home set.

Small manual hydraulic press or a hammer works. I used a buds 20 ton press once & smashed the weight into a bazillion pieces. If the rivets are the smaller ones you can squash em in a vice.
