clutch puller??

I know this is a long shot, but I need a clutch puller for a project I am doing. I will eventually buy one if I decide to keep the sled after the rebuild. Does anyone have one for an 05' arctic cat that would be willing to lend out? I live in Syracuse, Utah. The motor is out of the sled so I could even bring it to you. Thanks.

I've got one, but I'm in Riverton.

Can't you just take the motor by the Cat dealer up there in Ogden or Centerville and have them pull the clutch for you?

You don't need one to take the clutch off, all you need is the clutch bolt. Put a generous dose of Teflon tape on the threads at the end of your clutch bolt, tip the sled on its side (or in this case motor) so you can fill the crank thread/hole area with water, thread in the clutch bolt and it should break loose with little effort. this method works with a puller as well but should also work with the clutch bolt itself. This is the least violent, safest and easiest way to get a primary clutch off.

X2!!

Sorry but I cant see how that will remove the clutch using the clutch bolt. You will need a puller that threads to the clutch and pushes on the crankshaft. Please explain how your way of doing it would work.

What clutch is on the OP's motor? I may have a puller that will fit.

The water pushes on the crank shaft. The bolts threads are in the clutch. Hydraulic force, it works on a doo, I know that.

So I tried this not seeing how it would work using the same clutch bolt that threads into the crank shaftand holds clutch on. I got nowhere with it. From what I'm reading above, your saying the clutch bolt that threads into the crank is now being used to thread into the clutch with the added teflon tape. So your building up the thread diameter until it threads into the larger diameter clutch threads??? Apparently I didn't use enough tape to grab the clutch threads but instead began screwing clutch bolt back into the crank. I understand the hydraulic pressure and the mechanics being used to push the clutch off. Maybe you have a different clutch bolt set up than on my king cat??? Here's a pic of mine...

I'm pretty sure I still have a puller from my 900. Is this for that style sled or for the newer M sleds? Let me know and I will search it out if it will help.

I just spent the last hour looking for it and can't find it. Strange...I must have given it away when I sold my sled. Sorry man...I really thought I had it here somewhere.

The threads on the clutch and in the crank shaft are the same on a Skidoo.....I guessnot for a cat...sorry you will need a puller but you can stil use the water method.

No worries, I have an idea. I'll pick up a metric bolt at work, screw it into the clutch with water behind it and the rest should work as you explained.
Thanks again for the insight on the topic.
