clutch popping noise

At the end of last year and i guess pretty much most of the season whenever I would let off the throttle and hit the throttle again it would pop. It sounds like when you go into reverse and go for that popping noise is what it sounds like all the time now. 08 700 RMK I hopr this makes since and if anybody has any ideas to my knowledge everything is original with 2200 miles on sled. THANKS

Have you checked the drive shaft bearing? If the bearing is broke or if there's a slack in it this will make a popping noise.
This happened to a friend of mine on his 07D7 and last season on a snopro 600 to another friend of mine .

My 700 & 800 Dragons do same thing at low speeds when you let the throttle off and back on. It is the reverse cut in the helix on mine, my 03 escape did it as well. Its happens a lot more in the spring on rough trails. Hope this helps!

Have you removed and dissassembled both clutches and checked all bearings in the driveline?

What about your motor mounts??

Pull it apart and see what it looks like. But Dazzler is dead on. My D7 and D8 both did that. It got to the point where I didn't notice, but everytime someone else rode the sled they would mention it.

chain tension is good. I havent pulled the clutches apart yet ive been working on the stinking broken motor mount. I just figured start figuring out the little noises and rattles to. The clutches are the next step. What in the clutches would cause this noise. And mountain horse asked about mount could a broken motor mount cause this. I have it all back together now so little time will tell. Also what kind of antifreeze is everybody running stupid question I know but Is every one running the $7 a quart polaris "Special blend" or just a car 50/50 mix. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

NapaMAtt what about the oreilly brand or the carquest brand would that work....... Just kidding, I actually had some 50/50 napa stuff sitting around so i used that thanks for the info. While filling the antifreeze the primary seems to shift very nicely but obviously there is no load I am kind of wondering if it had something to do with the motor mount and i need to replace the springs im guessing if not im going to anyways to my knoweldge they have never been changed. I also have heard of it settling in the reverse area of the the helix before. Keep any information coming I love it and take everything into consideration. I really appreciate this site and everything everyone does here. Thank you everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
