Clutch noise

I noticed yesterday that there was a rattling noise coming from the clutch side of my 13. I pulled the panel today and noticed that the clutch shaft had some wear and that there is a rust color all over the sides. You can see where something has been grinding on the collar under the spring. I have been pulling 7950-8100 RPM's all weekend. There is no hesitation what so ever. Is this normal or is something wrong? Any help is appreciated. I just dont want to take it to the dealer and be stuck with a non-warranty issue.

I also have that rattling noise coming from the clutch side. I just checked and i have the same wear mark. Not sure what is going on. Is the spring flexing and rubbing or something?

Check jam nut, the worn goldish notched thingy at the base of the spring.

They are known for breaking the clutch and the only thing holding it together is the clutch bolt . Have you taken the belt off and looked in between ? They brake close to the inside clutch sheeve . Could also be a broken spring .

I will have to take the belt off and check the clutch closer now that I know what to look for. As far as the goldish thing, is it supose to be tight, loose or what? What do I look for with that?
