Clutch Kit - XP clutch kit, on temporary hold.....

The summit kits are working excellent and word is getting around, the orders are many and have overcome the primary spring supply. The suppliers I've used both run out, I am searching for a new spring supplier.
During this time of waiting for springs, I am stockpiling helix's and flyweight pins so eventually when springs land here, I will be ready to quickly ship kits out and have hired someone that is all they do is pack kits.

I ask for patience as there is email amounts here beyond my capacity to answer quickly as I also have to reply to the phone. People appreciate that kind of contact and many call because they cannot type at all, not even 2 finger typing - and I just can't type and talk at the same time [although I try] because I find my phone conversation gets typed onto someone's email.

When I can confirm I have primary springs coming in, I have your email address and will individually get back to you asking if you are still interested in a clutch kit.

Sorry for this kind of response from me, I have usually been able to be ahead of the game, but with some of the clutching problems on the sleds from OEM and people looking for a solution right now these requirements have been sudden and spiked beyond my present capacity.

Again - When I can confirm I have primary springs coming in, I have your email address and will individually get back to you asking if you are still interested in a clutch kit - From customer feedback of how the kits are working, stabilizing rpms and much improved backshift, the kit will be worth the wait.

Regards
Joey

-----------------------------------------

I sent out the lower start force primary springs to some of the test guys and having the 3500 engagement is too low and makes for poor acceleration in the low ratios.
I do have 200 start forces but it makes about 4000~4200 engagment and yet it's still fairly smooth, but you'll stand the sled up on its bumper....so the 160 is the best, I have to wait....:face-icon-small-con

The 07~older can use a 130/xxx start, I have those in stock and more on order.
Not a prob with the older models.

hi joe i am using 3400rpms for engagement now and it is working great on my bigbore, for me 38 to 4000 i think is to high... i would try one of them springs,

if you need to contack me, you have my number

Your so mysterious, LOL.

Hi....the point of xxx is not to be mysterious,:face-icon-small-win the point of that is to show that i am only talking of start forces. I do that all the time when discussing springs or helixes...
It is nothing about about keeping a secret, to me I rather want a tuner to know my parts.

I look at it this way - I serve no one [customer or curious tuner] by withholding information of my kits and; lack of information never assists anyone.
I try to be free with information of my kits because curious people go and try stuff on their own and they think up more questions and we talk about it and the information "grows" bigger every time it bounces back from each other.

The spring I use in the 600/700/800 button secondary kits and XP sled kits is a 160/350. the only sled I use a 160/320 in is a 2006 800X w/roller secondary summit.
Getting feedback from curious tuners has revealed that with the sleds I mention using the 160/350 has revealed...
fluctuating rpms when using a 160/320
or
"revvy" and not very aggressive with a 160/380 spring.
The 160/350 seems to be a spring that I see a "common denominator" of works best, pushes hardest, reveals highest track speed, little rpm fluctuation with primary clutches that are of good mechanical fitness.

So the reason I say 160/xxx is that I just want to illustrate an issue of "start forces" or clutch tuning in low ratios, low track speeds. I also talk about springs with mentioning xxx/350 or xxx/380 as an example because there is the same situation that to illustrate only what forces to in the higher shift ratios.... So if you ever see any of my writing of springs with "xxx" in the calibration numbers, just look at it in the body of the subject itself - what am I discussing in the subject. I have found this over the years to help reduce distractions straying the tuner away from a particular issue. Like xxx/380 then you know I am talking of issues in higher ratios because of mentioning only "finish forces" - discussing finish force and what it does, "neglecting start forces" because what is happening in the start is not an issue, the issue is in the higher ratios.

Hope that info helps.

The near Future - I am going to have all the spring forces on my new website, everything, even helix's with angles that tuners can choose from other than a kit helix. Helix's with lower or larger start angles or lower or larger finish angles.

Found a spring!

Hi Joe, got a primary spring but can't get a hold of you to ship our clutch kits. Would like to get our kits overnight delivery if i could reach you. I'll keep trying but can be reached at (403) 478-5842.
Thanks Les

No need to order any parts

No need to order any parts as the kits DO NOT WORK for High elevation. 8k-10k. Just thought I would break the news to you again.
