CLUTCH BUSHING BROKE!!

Hay guys noticed one of my clutch bushings has broken in half. now is it a easy job to replace the 3 or do I take it in to the shop?

I only have standard tools to work with.

Can I ride it short term with out further damage?

I wouldn't advise riding with a bad bushing. I had a bushing go on an older sled and the clutch was pretty much ruined; the spindle that goes into the bushing got excessively worn from the movement as did the recess in the clutch cover where the bushing goes. Eventually, my clutch started to bind as well; similar to too little deflection.

If I get one how easy is it to get it off? How do you stop the clutch from spinning when you are trying to remove the main bolt?

looks like I'm up for $80.00 before i start. May get them to do it as I'm not planing on keeping it long term.

Puller works on all new Polaris and clutch holder works on all sleds so it will pay for itself if you are going to continue to ride.

If you are talking about one of the weight bushings, you don't really need any special tools to take the weights out. The SLP tool to replace the bushings is cheap and they are easy to change out. Continuing to ride with them worn out is very bad for your clutch.

things just get worse, So I just found out its not a polaris clutch but a after market one. Its a comet clutch and those parts for it are hard to find.

Yes its the #7 part but in comet. Any one know what and where to find these bushes?

Ok so i got the parts now need a puller. Anything I need to know when pulling the clutch off? Does the end bolt come off clock ways? Never done a comet one before.

Ok guys this just keeps getting worse. Puller came in and yep its the wrong one!! Also after spending on the bushes now the spiders gone.
So now I need another whole clutch!

So does any one have a 900 polaris clutch they want to sell cheep???

Hating life right about now, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Go on Ebay, when i was looking for a clutch found one on there. Maybe contact Indaydan here on snowest he may have one laying around in his shop. If you get one from Dan it will be a good clutch.
