The 2007 models you have to be care full on you can not take the shims out without modifying the clutch it will rub on drive. I have heard of some people grinding it so it will fit and using the new alignment bar but Cat did not tell us to do this.

I believe Arctic Cat found the 1.507 offset to be a better set up for the sleds. However you can't achieve the new offset with the older 2007-2009 driven clutches. (without machining them) In general you would probably want your secondary as far in as possible on 2007-2009 without hitting the gearcase.

There is so many variables and with this fixed secondary deflection is important for correct offset.

Most all high power sleds now have the motor mount moved or pressed in an extra .125" and the mag side shimmed. This moves the PTO out more with out having to cut the back side of the secondary. Softer belt the more you need to move the secondary in. Rubber band effect. As you pull on the belt it thins. IF the two fixed sheaves are not closer together you can't hold the belt. This has been the problem from day one and these DDrive sleds. Now with the big turbo's and 1000 it shows up more. This is why the change in the bar.

You have no idea how well these sleds can work with the right off set and how much heat will be gone from the clutches.

You take a stock sled and more the motor over as the only change it will fly.
