Closures at Jones Pass?

Colorado State Parks will provide wilderness boundary signs until the Ranger District is simply buried in the things.

These are free to the Ranger District, all they need to do is ask. I have no idea how much more the FS could want- already have volunteers in the thread to put the signs up and free signs.

Any idea who I could tank to at CSP? After beign accused of being "the guy" who rides the wilderness byt the Circus clowns:face-icon-small-con... I got thinking that maybe putting some signs up would be a good idea. One of the places that people access the wilderness around there is a spot those guys will never be able to get to, so having a real rider go slap them up would be useful.

I would state with either randy engle or ryan crabb- both are very good guys- their contact info is here

http://www.parks.state.co.us/OHVsandSnowmobiles/Pages/OHVsSnowmobiles.aspx

Scroll down the page and it is on the lower portion on the right hand side- they will probably need to coordinate this with the local FS ranger district. Found that a lot of FS ranger districts don't even know this program exists

Please keep this in mind, Kaleb... It is easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission... in our wonderful land of extreme liberal, tree-hugging, Obama sticker sporting, home-wreckers!:lalala::face-icon-small-win:lalala:

So who ya gonna find???

On a side note..those finding differences in the location of wilderness signage from year to year or signs versus what your gps shows should remember these people are locating (likely hundreds) of signs along multiple wildernesses using gps tracks via snowmobiling/snowshoeing/skiing. Work force, time allowance, and visibility factors play huge roles in how well and how accurate the boundaries are signed each year. There will always be discrepancies in the locations of the signs relating to the actual boundaries. Now if you guys are seeing differences of 1/8-1/4 mile, well then there's an issue.

There is no forgiveness, and never would be permission... it is what it is, they don't care about you or me.

I'm just talking about putting up signs so that the noobs who ride there at least KNOW when they're riding into wilderness.
