Click shocks VS non clicker

Ive never riden a pro in conditions that would really let me test the shock but I know people always say the pro shocks SUCK. Would the clicker shocks be that much better or are they wasting 500$?

I'm in the same boat. I know the stockers won't be adequate for me. My buddy has been riding with Evol R's for the last couple Pro's he had. He got the WE clickers for his '15 and said they are a big improvement over the standard coil overs but says still not as good as the Evol R's. I'm thinking I might still upgrade to Evol R's or Exit X1's. Still upset that there was no Fox Terrain Dominator version.

I've had both and I would not spend the money for the WE upgrade to clickers. I've had raptors and are far better than WE's. I'm sure Exit's are in the same category as raptors.

Is the clicker upgrade just an upgrade to easier adjustment or is it a different (better) shock all around. Right now im leaning twords the NON clicker shocks since the clickers really dont seem all that much better

I've had both and the clickers are a big upgrade over the standard IMO. Not just adjustability but performance.

BUT I haven't had other aftermarket shocks....so can't make that comparison. It is worth doing something over the stockers tho - at least for the rts at minimum

The problem is that you can't just get the rear or fronts separate. If so, I would do the back WE clickers and upgrade my front to Exit X1's.

Is the clicker shock option for the ski shocks only or does that include rear as well?

DP just the front, they have a separate spot where theres a rear shock option.

Hmm looks like I might do the upgrade after all what you guys are saying, moneys a huge factor so I dont plan on spending another 1500+ on shocks once the snowcheck is all said and done.

The clicker adjustment is for the rear track shock and the two ski shocks.

I rode my 2012 one year with stock suspension, one year with Exit X0, and last year with Exit X1 and Mountain Tamer rear suspension.

My 2015 came with the clickers.

Like a lot of folks here, I ride a mixture of open meadows, whooped out trail, wandering through the trees and a bit of small jumps.

I really liked the adjustability of the X1's and the Mountain Tamer. BUT Snowcheck for this year, the $400 to get clickers, I would get them instead of going to $2,000 for the Exit. I found they have enough adjustability for my type of riding.

So are these shocks different/better then last years? They keep saying that they are different?

Can anyone confirm that you can just order front or back clickers? That would be nice if ya could.

I won't order the clickers again. Waste of money. Save the cash and have the standards revalved.
The clickers need revalved from Polaris as well.

Help me understand this, what are the clicker shocks doing or not doing that you would expect of them? What am I missing?

Do they still bottom out on you or are you just not happy with the performance? I'm on the fence here.

For $400 IMO you can't go wrong. To get a setup that is an improvement over the WE clickers you will spend over $1k. If you are a guy that wants the best out there, WE clickers are not it but for $400 that is a small price to pay for the awesome range of adjustability. I like them a lot so far on my 15 but then again they were free! One thing to consider is if you do choose non clickers and plan to upgrade, how much can you sell the stockers for? How much can you sell the WE clickers for?

Yeah, It is a $400 add. Where else you going to get clickers for that price.

When you say they are junk or there better out there please be clear in what better means.

1. Do you mean better valving. Because any walker Evans can be rebuilt.

2. Or do the shocks wear out?

3. Or would a spring change make a big difference?

I have a 2012 ProRMK with stock non clicker aluminum Walker Evans. They feel Like I could go to a heavier spring all around or a dual rate spring or change the valving. The problem with going to a heavier spring up front is a like the light feel in the front but don't want to bottom. So maybe valving would be better or a dual rate.

To be clear I have rebuilt these shocks once with stock valving and have never had one leak or blow out. This tells me they are a very good shock with sub par valving or too light of springs.

Thoughts?

So for me spending $400 for Walker Clickers is money well spent knowing I can always go to a fat boy spring (I'm 200 lbs) or revalve to make them even better.

If you like to boondock, the valving in WE clickers is not friendly.
If you are a trail pounder yes. The clickers have to much low speed compression and too fast rebound for tree riding/boondocking. So save the $400 and revalve the standard WE.
How many of you, that have the clickers, adjust them on a daily basis for the riding conditions?
Pick your passion and set the shocks up accordingly. A tree riding setup will not work pounding the trails or for big drops. You can get to a happy medium but the shock setup will not excel in every discipline.
I went back to the standard WE and re-valved them.

Unless you plan on doing after market shocks I would definitely do the clickers. Huge huge improvement over the stock pro shocks.

No they are not in the same class as raptors or exits but for $400 well worth the money.
