Does any one have any idea how to clear a speedometer? after building a mod and using a speedo off another sled i would like to start clean on milage. Thanks

if not anyone know how to wirie up a different guage. i have a 08 sp guage with zero miles but the wiring is different
You have to send in your ECU for a re-flash. It will clear the hours and speedo.

really that will clear it. i thought that the hours stayed with the speedo, i replaced the ecu before and still had the same miles/hours.
i heard somewhere that if you cross a wire on the back of the speedo it would clear it, but that could of been bs
I know any mod ECU's state no hours and no miles. I have seen them a few times. Now if Cat has new software to keep that I do not know now. If you order a race ECU you will have zero miles and hours.

now i know a new ecu cost more than i want to spend but remapping doesnt cost that much correct
from what ive found out the milege stays witht the speedo, i flip flopped my f7 and m7 and thats what i found out, but i would really like a clear hour meter and speedo for the mod
any other ideas
I worked for cat for many years and tested many of these speedos and I was never told how to clear a speedo so as far as I know you are out of luck.
