Classic Impala's?

That was a great link, thanks for that!

No problem, I doubt the car you are looking @ will be in the 20k range being it's not original numbers matching but it is cool & a driver. You never said how much $$$$$$$ the trade will cost ya? 8-12k shooting from the hip (I usually hit my foot)? To the right guy more but the average guy less. I hope it works for ya.

I missed your post on the trade amount, Like I say my foot may be hurt a bit I get good @ stumbling around.
Here is a 23k non original http://www.racingjunk.com/category/102/Chevrolet/post/1526613/1965-Impala-super-sport.html

The pictures below are taking it a little to the performance extreme but you've already got the engine part done on that car.

I was also going to guess it's worth at around $25.000.
I think if you had to, you could get that for it fairly fast.

Here's my baby.
I have waaay more than I like to admit into it and it also is not an original SS.
New motor (Beefed Vortec) etc. Total frame-off resto.
2 years in the making.
(I had to keep the suspension a little high in the front so I don't drag the headers)

I seen that car when I was checking out your link. It's a nice ride and real similar to the one I am looking at...comparing it it would be a fair trade, just not a profitable one. Decisions....

I have never been a fan of low riders, but that car is something else!

The car has to be worth at least 20K with the 502 and all the goodies. The Impala wasn't the most sought after body design of the day (Nova/Chevelle/GTO etc.) but that's a really nice example of one. If you put a nicer set of wheels on that car it would really improve the chances of selling it (if you want to sell it). The wheels on the car pictured below are popular on the resto/daily driver cars I've seen. The big thing is keeping the front and rear end just a little lower than stock but not scraping the weeds like a true low rider. With the right wheel offset, you can have the nicer wheel and tire combo tucked nicely into the wheel well.

I agree, my Dad's 65 Impala looked pretty plain with the stock wheels. He put on some American Racing Torque Thrust II's and it made it a completely different car.
