Chris Burandt checking in!

What's up Snowester's! Hope summer is going good for you all. Just wanted to take a quick minute and let you know what's going on in my world. First off, I'm still smiling from this past winter! We had record snow amounts this year in Colorado and I rode over 150 days! What a year to start a snowmobile business huh?! Speaking of that business, I would like to thank everyone who not only got to come out and ride some of the sickest snow I have ever ridden in but also all the positive comments from you all regarding Burandt's Back Country Adventure. Last year our goal was 75 clients and we ended up having 125 people participate!

So far this summer I have riden my dirt bike a ton. We have some of the coolest single track and gnarly trails in Colorado right outside my backyard. It nice to get a break from the long winters with some fun in the dirt. We are actually planning on hosting dirt bike and ATV tours starting next summer! Definetly looking forward to that! I'm also getting excited about bow season which opens Aug 28th. Last year I got so close to getting a big bull but just couldn't close the deal. We'll see how it goes this year. Not much else going on. Just been pretty busy getting all geared up for year 2 of Burandt's Back Country Adventure. I can't believe this, but we already have 86 people confirmed for next year! Man I can't wait to ride with everyone again!

Just thought I would say hello. Stay tuned with SnoWest and SledHeads Magazines as you can enter to win a trip to come ride with me on Burandt's Back Country Advenutre. Also, be sure to check out www.burandtsbackcountryadventure.com as we are re-doing the site with a bunch of cool stuff which should be back up and running on Aug 21st.

See you on the snow!

Chris Burandt

AAAAHHHHH! What would that be like???

Hope I have a chance to do that before I die!

150 days? Wow. I was feeling a LITTLE inadequate for only getting in 10 days this year. Now I feel REALLY inadequate. LOL

Sledding

I felt bad I only rode about 45 days and I still feel bad, We rode with Chris and GUYS we had a blast. You think you know alot and man when you ride with Chris you learn alot more...I learned alot of trick stuff, I'm heading back up in Jan. Any guys from Utah or Idaho want to go P.M. Me and we can figure it out I have a FIVE place trailer and only two so far going...

So lets see.... 150 days of riding. Let's add this up at $3.50 a gallon (average price last winter for me). Let's also assume he's running a non-turbo sled.

$3.50/gal x 12gal = $42 (assuming he doesn't take extra fuel, which he should)
$42 x 150 days = $6,300 in fuel

Add in the tow rig and you got a nice chunk of change there.

Nice work man!

Hey Rush44 got that one right! Ouch on the fuel bill!!! And we had 6 sleds out most of the time! Todd (Arctic Cat Bum) remember that ride outside of Winter Park. That drainage was nasty huh?!!! We better go back there this year and see if you can climb out of that thing!

150 days and loved everyone of them!

i have only rode in wyoming just ONCE and prody 5 times in iowa. wish i could live in wyoming! lol

I was very glad to be part of your awesome season. Our trip from Alaska was a blast, and even though you were sick you could never tell by your riding. The skills that I learned from you and were able to apply to my everyday riding just amazes myself. I now love sidehilling through trees, and riding down hill with my sled on its side. Just to bad you dont have any Polaris sleds there.lol. Thanks again for a awesome trip, I know Ricky is already talking about coming back.

Man I was happy to get out about 15 times, but 150...That would be SICKNASTY!!! Guess I better start savin some pennies to get to ride with "Big Air" Burandt.
