chg.primary clutch spring 09 D8

whats the procedure for changing primary spring on a 09 D8?can I do it without pulling clutch? thanks

remove the bolts that hold the cover on and you can replace the spring. It's a bit easier to re-install if you have a friend to help.

You should mark the cover with a marker to make sure you put it back on the same way you took it off. I just did one last week with friends help. I uses a bigger socket than the bolt hole and breaker bar, and pushed it on while he started the bolts. Also use the belt in the primary to keep the clutch out to start the bolts.

Shouldn't have to mark the cover. The cover should have an 'X' on it and there is also one on the spider. Make sure they are lined up when you put the cover back on.

Got ur done.It worked good. It was fun trying to get the front plate on with the spring under tension.Had to push the side of the sled out 3/4 in. to get the front plate on. No room to work.The old edge is so much easier to work on. Thanks
