Because anytime some politician, or conservationist makes a law or protests to stop something they never think about how it will affect other things.

Yea I will burn less gas in my car, but the power still comes from somewhere. The batteries have to mined from somewhere. None of this is considered. Just the sticker in the window that says "equivalent of 230mpg)

Some do. Some issues are pretty technical though, and require more then just basic assumptions to understand and critique.

Yes it all has, it just seems you don't want to consider getting to the bottom of what other people already know.
