chest protection

Chest Protector

I had Tekvest then switched to 661 coresaver. Both of them didn't seem right.

Tekvest too bulky and didn't like the zippered chest. I never took a blow to the sternum but know other people who did. Doesn't seem logical for protection so I switched to 661 Coresaver.

The coresaver is extremely light and has excellent back protection but the chest seems like it won't provide much protection.

I am switching to Troy Lee Designs Bodyguard 5955 Chest Protector Black

Lot's of adjust-ability, seems durable and fits under my jacket nicely.

I got it on sale for $160 no tax delivered to the door

Question for folks that have the 661 Coresaver...does it offer any protection for the ribs? From the photos it looks like it's got decent chest/back/kidney/shoulder protection but little for the ribs?
