Anyone know if the drag races in Lake Chelan are happening this year? Last year was a blast, and very well ran!

that's as close as i could get to it!
I live in Chelan and I'm in the snowmobile club. At our last club meeting, it was very doubtful that the drags would happen this year. I don't know if its a 100% NO yet, but I know that things did not look good at all. Issues with the venue.
Im a member aswell, IF it does happen, i BELIEVE its going to be the same time as it was last year... Was it the last weekend in febuary?

not even close eazy. Always Martin Luther King weekend in january but we are having a problem with the land that we have used in the past, most likely not going to happen unless a big chunk of land is donated for its use. Eazy so your a club member how come I have never seen you at a meeting or a work party?
To make a long story short the drags are a no go this year. The Mill Bay Casino would love to have us back a again, But the land that we hold the event on is not owned by them =(. We don't have permission to hold the event on the land that we always have it on.
We didn't stop there though, We have asked multiple places in town but are turned away.
So unless you have some land in town for us to run it on. We are just out of luck!
Thanks to all that continue to come to the race year after year. Its a lot of work for the club to put it on but we enjoy it.
WE ARE NOT GIVING UP! Just this year doesn't seem to be coming together.

Hey guys, I have left many mesg. for the reps at apple blossom center. Just hoping to get a call back. After talking to dustin about this area it sounds like it would be a good one. We need to keep looking at all options to get the drags to happen, maybe a old orchard thats been pulled out? The biggest reason we need this to happen is that I MISSED it last year!
Ive actually never gone to any club meetings.
. right now between work and college its hard, my dad and uncle are members aswell, uncle went alot when he lived here. I went last year but didnt have a trailer so i could run!!! i want to really bad this year!
