i was their a few years ago in July and it was 33 degrees and pouring rain with wet flakes in it. Woke up the next morning and about 3/4 of the way down the hills around it was white. Crazy place that is naturist for snow in the summer.

My bud has a place just down the road in Challis...That is Gods country! I have snow envy bad.

stanely

I have some inlaws that ride Stanely regularly, if anyone wants to learn the area i will line it up for a 2-3 day ride this winter. They say stanely gets more snow that anywhere in the USA average 50ft accum snow fall. When i go up we stay in Smiley creek Lodge. It is always way cold there 0 to -40f in jan and Feb.

Let the replies begin! Count me in, never ridden there. It would be a fun trip to hit McCall, Cascade, Stanley then Halfway Oregon.

I didn't have a camera with me on Saturday morning but there was snow on the tops of the hills after that storm here in Cache Valley, it looked like that Tony's Grove and the very top of Franklin Basin got a inch over night. You could see it on the west side of the valley. When I approached the east side the clouds covered it up and by the time it cleared out the snow was gone. Talk about wanting more though
