check this out, what do you think?????

Hey gimpster, I was checking out your website page and I raced legends cars for 4 years also but on flippin asphalt. I dont have any pictures on the computer and I no longer have a scanner but I will see what I can find and get some. I raced in sauk centre, fergus falls every friday and saturday and elko, shakoppe, wausau wisconsin when ever i could. Is the mini sprint pics from grand forks?

I threw that site together in an evening back in may. Not updated since. Lost what was on my message board since 2001, this summer when something crashed... Lost over 200 usere that frequented it along with a heck of a lot of humor and techno stuff. Mini Sprint pics were from Williston. I have pictures from Underwood ND, Rugby ND, Williston, ND, Minot ND, Wishek ND, Gillette WY and Rapid City SD that are not in the gallery. Legends Cars I Raced on every dirt track in ND except for eastern part of the state. Raced dirt with it from Lawrenceburg KY on up to Joplin Missouri on over to here. Quite a number of indoor races on coke syrup also. Had some glory in them also, led National Pro Dirt points standings for 4 seasons but got run down in points at the end of the season. Best I finished nationally was 6th out of 400 drivers. Led Semi-Pro dirt my first season for half the season ending up 11th nationally out of over 400 drivers. Been pulled out from under extend-boom fork lift in an indoor race, end for end the entire front straight at Dacotah Speedway (3/8ths mile track) in Mandan ND, Broad sided at 90+ MPH at Nodak in Minot etc.. Have had the engine on my lap after guard rail encounters. Mostly from rookies hooking tires with me as I was passing them, sends these cars soaring out of control.
Guess my best gain from Legends is Donny Schatz home town track in Minot at the State fairgrounds, where drivers pay to enter the track at the tech building, A picture of my car in action is painted on the side of that building facing the parking lot. If you raced Legends, you know AMA Haul of famer Hank Scott (steel shoe flat track bike racer from the 70's and 80's) He is now a top engine builder in the country. He wanted to meet 'The Gimpster' so we rode the harley over to Concord NC last summer to meet him. We also went to the asphault nationals for Legends this year south of Minneapolis to hook up with a ton of our friends from across the nation. Never raced, watched. I have picked up quite a number of XJ's to rebuild over this winter as result. The #2 Legends Cars national asphalt pro point winner of the season is one who will be running my engines in '09.
Had bad luck with the mini. Ran good for 4 laps then fell on it's face. All the cash in motors and parts That we went through (one was a $16,000 APE built GSXR 1000 engine ruined when a rock hit and split an oil pan while racing Motor Magic in Minot, that only had 2 laps on it).We decided to sell and go full size sprint for the '09 season. After I sold that chassis, it still plagued me. They had the same issues as I did with it this summer as we did last summer. Finally I told them to change out the bladder in the tail tank. Problem found. When I bought the bladder, it was supposed to be for race fuel. It was an alky bladder which was coming apart in such fine particles with the race fuel in it, that it would plug the injectors in a few laps.
After not racing since the '07 season (took this season off to open this shop), I got the itch to do it again so bad that the rash is red and torn open.
Hopefully getting back into sledding will calm my adrenaline down a little over the winter

Sled is looking good. Nice changes and not overdone. And I agree with an earlier comment. Try not to yardsale it.
I used to pit for a friend who raced modified. I don't know how you guys afford that hobby even with sponsorships. Fun, yes, but I've seen it put a real financial strain on more than one family. But, as with every love, you must enjoy it while you can I guess.
