A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement
money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and afew acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for15 years.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been weldedshut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was inthe barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so,nobody made an offer on the place. The New York guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, movedin, and set about to tear in to the barn........curiosity was killing him.So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......andcut thru the welds. What was in the barn...............?true story

Dad sold his 34 for sedan delivery last year. It was complete and in excellent condition. Had 2 flathead v-8's that went with it. He'd kept in a barn on the farm for the last 30 years. Drove it in there, parked it, and put it on blocks.

There are barns here in So Dak. that have NICE cars in them too. You would be suprised of the cars that are stored away in the barns we pass by everyday!

I looked at a building site for sale a couple of months ago. the current owner was british and seemed a little eccentric. on the property there was a barn, a smaller machine shed, and a garage, and all the buildings had vintage euro collector cars in them that were covered with dust and bird****. seemed kind of strange but kind of cool to see all of those older cars. dont see many like them in rural mn
