I'm sure you BC and AK guys see this, but not as much down here in the lower 48.

This thing has been brewing for months...HUGE snowfall on it this year.
It cracked back in March up higher (at the top of the pic frame) where the chute opens back up.

And then slowly more and bigger cracks and fissures began to open up as it slid down the hill.

The snow piled up in large slabs...it's kinda hard to see as I took the two last pics through a telescope across the valley.

All the rocks in the upper half of the pic were covered all winter by the snowpack and all of them are exposed because of this slab sluffing off.

All the stuff in the middle and bottom is slabs of snow that piled up there as it collected from sluffing off the mtn. IT's been snowing on top of it also, so it's harder to see.

These pics were all taken this past Friday.

This has been very cool to watch unfold all spring.

Awesome !!! Had something like that going on near Los Angeles but much smaller and the reason its not melting here is because of all the trees.
