Thats kind of funny. Dominic Dobson of Indy car fame and local WA resident pioneered that technology about 6 years ago and sold it under sportvue
His main market was street motorcycles, maybe he would still be around had they gone after another market?

This technology has been out for a few years now.....link below is to the "original" goggle with this type of software.
Interestingly, last season I was on a cat skiing trip in British Columbia and ended up meeting and skiing with the father of the inventor of these goggles....very nice guy and it was great to hear about his sons journey with this product.

If it could communicate with my sled and tell me my RPM and stuff I'd have no problem drop'n 650 bones in those bad boys! Just being able to see where your buddies are is quite a cool feature in itself

Avalanche beacons too?
If you can see where your buddies are, could it also be used as a built in avalanche beacon? That would be a quick way to located a buried guy and not spend time with the conventional beacon and probe...anyone know about this?

I'd don't think that would work, the chances of your goggles coming off is better then them staying on..
Great....i can pay $650 to have goggles that still fog up so bad I cant wear them. 
My buddies and I bought the Oakley version this year, a total of seven of us. We will know soon if they work or it's all hype.
Easily would drop that money if it could relay sled vitals, and view your buddy in real time which awesome. On my garmin rhino your buddy needs to page in to view his current location, which is useless if they are hurt, stuck or don't bother paging in when split up.
