Why are we not making nice neat little .pdf's like that and sending them out slamming the complete bull**** in the nice neat little .pdf's the hippis make?

Just read the whole thing. Out-dated data, inaccurate data, and in a nut shell we don't like to share mentality. Is it possible for SAWS or another organization to report something like this in our favor???

I can't wait to see ORV tags on there butts!!! That way they can help pay for the grooming that they are talking about instead of poaching off of the ones that we fund. I love the way that they twist the numbers.

One thing I noticed they did to twist the informations was to use national numbers for riders and use that to skew the numbers in the 11 western states, for example saying this many riders in the US rode sleds last year, but onlythis many acres open in MT, then list ratios. They also quote a guy from east coast about sleds and a guy from Wisconsin, two places they didn't even include in any of their assassination attempt at our sport. What a joke.

One interesting part is that even they complain about not being able to get to the wilderness areas in the winter because the roads aren't plowed. Then whine about the groomed trails being multi-use. WE PAY for the fu!king grooming! Then claiming that we put out as many hydrocarbons in a single day as a car over 100,000 miles, what a bunch of bullchit!

they want to close an area along a main hiway so the lazy brain damaged
****s can get out of car and hear total quiet.stupid ****in idiots.

Their information is just plain wrong. They cite all this cross country and snowshoe activity even outnumbering snowmobiles and that they need more land, bull!! THere's a million places all around here that you can ski or snowshoe on and there's nobody out there now!!!!

99.9% of statistics are made up.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. This is my first year back in snow country and every area I sled at is maintained by clubs or the local lodges. I never see a ski group out maintaining trails or putting up markers like the clubs and lodges do. I agree maybe the sledding community can come up with a report showing the negative effects of skiing. Im sure we can make up statistics too!

I found this on page 6:

While the four-stroke engines do fare somewhat better in noise
level testing than traditional two-stroke engines, the most recent
data from Yellowstone National Park where four-stroke machines
are mandated shows that four-stroke snowmobiles still generate
excessive noise.39

Excessive? or just ANY NOISE.

Herin lies our problem.

Most of us have full time jobs and are at least somewhat productive with our lives, and we don't have enough time to sit around and smoke pot all day and dream up propaghanda to spew out.

This is why we're losing this fight :(

maybe the wolf problem is not so bad?? we just need to teach the wolves to eat snow shoe'ers and cross country skiers!! (snowboarders and skiers often use sleds)

Every time I read some built up overinflated propagander like that it makes me so freaking mad I just want to grab one of those blubbering pukes and rip their stupid head off !!!! Just hang on i'll tell you how I really feel just as soon as I can breathe again. AAGGGHHHH !!!

Did anyone check oout their corprate sponsors. Mammut is one of them. No wonder their beacons are so exspensive. Im sure glad i didn't buy one. They are probably good beacons but there are lots of others out there that support snowmobiling that work just as well.

God I ****ing hate hippies. Did anyone see on page 9 of the PDF theres a picture of someone hitting a jump and it says "Photo courtesy of Snowest"
