Check Out The Forecast For Baker Lol

Do you think we will get out of the meadows?? It will take a good part of the days to get there--Lots of fun though.

It is supposed to rain in the meadows.... snow doesn't look to fall untill you get above, near hood hill.

Are you trying to keep us from riding because your sled is not together yet? You are still wondering where your parts are??

I am home and ready to BBQ and get stuck The back is great. Give me a call will hook up soon . Going to Packwood this weekend to save my house from flooding

I can see it now... Baker has the only snow in the state 200+ inches!

But 0" at the meadows... :(

Snow level up at Baker will be below 1800' between wendesday night and thursday morning for multiple inches of new snow down low too.

I might ride Friday.......

don't get too excited on the NOAA forcast though...they have been posting huge numbers for the last 2 weeks and when they say 23 inches we get 6. Not sure what their problem is. Hopefully we'll get a bunch though anyway. I've been wanting to get up in the small canyons to the West of Baker Pass. Did notice when we were up the other day and we had good vis that the glacier is really open so anyone going up towards Baker Pass should think about climbing over the grade before you get to the glacier.

We will look for ya ReTodd--if you are not there--we will take it that the conditions suck and leave:cool:;)

Or you will be there and show us how to handle that Mt:)

Hope you make it up:D

I don't have one of those fancy sleds that has an altimeter and I always end up leaving my gps at home. Can someone confirm my elevation guesses?

meadows - 3400ft
hoodhill/peanut - 5000ft
baker pass - 6000ft
(baker pass is the top of climb headed up and left from hood hill right?

about the NWS forecasts remember they are using a forecasting model tool that computes precipation equivalents for snow which can vary widely based on lots of varying factors (i.e. they're GUESSING too!).

Please correct me if I am wrong(and I am wrong alot) but isn't the AVY danger going to be at a all time HIGH from now thru this weekend up at baker???

I am dieing to ride but dont want to die riding......:face-icon-small-sho

Baker sounds like the only place to ride but it has to be pretty scary up there for avys.

Might be time for meadow mod mainia.......:)

You are correct there!! The pack is suppose to stabilize thursday and friday.

But not going to be near anything that is trouble--the meadows sounds good to me.

It is suppose to start snowing at the lower levels this afternoon to evening and continue snowing thru friday---I guess we will see?
