Check engine light

So i have a 2013 switchback assault. I took the hood and side pannels off then took the pipe off to. After i was done doing what i was doing i put everything back together. I started it realized the plugs were fouled "thats another story" put some cleaned used ones in and drove the sled halfway around the block and see that the check engine light came on, So when i turned around and put the sled back in the shop and saw that i forgot to put the dam c02 sensor back in the pipe. Its now in there and the lights still on do i have to take my sled to the dealership to clear a code or is there something i can do at home to get rid of the light? Any help would be great theres a decent snow storm going on here and im wanting to ride tomorow :face-icon-small-hap

It has to be cleared by the dealer.

I believe that after a couple of heat cylces it should clear itself after plugging in the sensor.

Poo233:

Look in your Service Manual on page 47, Diagnostic Display Mode. If the check engine light is on, you can pull up the code. Follow the directions. Try doing what jd suggests to clear the code. They'll go into inactive codes once the engine is shut down.

I let it sit at idle for about 10 minutes and it cleared itself thanks for the fast feedback guys

Mine on my 12 would not go away after I forgot to plug it in. Had to have the dealer clear it. He also told me I was on over rev four times at 8500+ (oopsie)

When the dragons had failed pipe sensors you would just replace the sensor and after a few full throttle pulls code was gone.
