My check engine light started flickering yesterday. I am not too bad with mechanical stuff, but am not really sure where to start or how to troubleshoot this. And am hoping for some support.
I have read through a lot of these forums but haven't seen anything the same as the issues I am experiencing. The machine itself seems to be running fine. The check engine light is actually flickering. It isn't "coding" in the sense of if I start the sled and it blinks a few times(like what I have read in the forums) . At idle the check engine light just seems to sporadically flicker, and as the rpm's increase the flicker will get more intense, and then it appears like the light is just on all the time.
I haven't tried anything yet, but once I get the machine into the garage and thawed out a little, the 1st thing I was going to try was simply to unhook and reconnect the wiring connectors that go up the hood into the console.
But that is the end of my troubleshooting ideas.
I am almost 2 hours away from any Polaris dealership, so if there is anyway to troubleshoot the problem myself I am all for it.(also the snow conditions here are awesome right now)
I realize that is may be like trying to find a needle in a haystack(that's how I feel) but if anybody has any troubleshooting suggestions I am all ears.
