I Think this is an EGT sensor code. I put a new one in and still flashing. I Checked wires for damage as far as i could see back to module. Anyone know what to check and will it hurt the anything if i continue to run it? D 08'

X2^^^^^ ECU needs to see RPM above 3000 for at least three minutes to clear code.

Run the sled and it should clear. FYI it changes the fuel mapping to richen it up so if you get this code in the backcountry riding it out shouldn't hurt it.
It will richen it up to try and heat up the pipe. It won't hurt the motor but watch your plastic. Run too long like this and thing can get so hot that it causes stuff to melt. Not a big deal unless there is not a lot of airflow.
does it only flash when machine is first started and flashes five times? not sure but if this is what is happening and it says "SErVCE ENG" and flashes five times then according to the 2009 owners manual this is just a reminder to service the machine and will continue to flash till you reset it. i would think if this is the problem it would be the same on 2008.
i cant find any thing in the book that says "Check engine" and this is what would lead me to think its a service light maybe??
