chassis question for veterans

I have a 2015 that's getting a boondocker tunnel. I also have the 36 front end and it will raise the front a bit with stock shock length as well. after looking at the stock tunnel there is an additional suspension mounting hole down one inch, I bet that's the hole the Axys uses to raise chassis. Wondering if I should use the lower hole since front is raised as well with the 36? this should update similar to the axys geometry, The axy uses a drop chaincase however the smaller drivers sit up higher, Any thoughts

That extra hole is the mount location is for the assault skid.
The rails are different on the assault vs the pro.

It's not going to make it perform better in the deep.

IMO get the proper length front shocks if you are sticking with the stock rear suspension.

Or,,, go the route with the front and get the TS rear arm kit, which safely drops the front of the rail and is completely adjustable for rear arm ride height.

+1

the assault rails have more front bend and moving your down will make it kink the track with high risk of stabbing it without anti-stab!

moving it down will give you more attack angle, giving it more pop and climb on the snow more but also more prone to digging a hole/trench and get stuck...like real bad stuck...

i run mine in the lower hole, custom iceage rails and anti-stab!

do you have a pic of yours. I'm also going with ice age rails and wood like to set up in the bottom hole as well?

Here's what mine look like, but keep in mind this is a 144" rmk! It has the older skid with 320mm center shock in comparison to the 155/163" alphas-styles 295mm center.

I dont think you will achieve what the axys has going on by moving the skid down since it has the longer "chain case" to compensate, therefor not changing the attack angle (much).

By increasing attack angle you loose some of the Poos- stop in a real bad spot, ponder life and all its mysteries, then drive away capability. But if your ready to sacrifice that for a more (IMO) rock-and-roll lifestyle that rewards you for riding harder, im all for it!

And since your thinking about new rails you might as well buy the assault style, you can always put it back up if you hate it with no real noticeable drawbacks!

edit:
I also run longer then stock front shocks and 42" wide front- all in the effort to make the perfect tree riding sled! (In opposite of popular belief and knowledge!)
