Challenger Track on Backwards?

I have a 06 M7 with a 141 challenger track. The lugs are bent pretty good from 1600miles. I have heard of putting the track on backwards and wanted to know how well that works. Pros/Cons thanks

I had the attack 20, but Its a similar track I think. I switched mine around after about a 1000 miles, and for the most part it was a bad decision. You have incredible hook up at slow speeds, but I was throwing a roost probably 30+ feet in the air. I also lost close to 15-20 MPH in powder snow. The track also started to fall apart, delamination.

track

get the number off the track and call ( dealer of your choosing ) or tracks usa. alot of those tracks were a softer compound, i think they were a heat exchanger lite, if you actually live where you get fresh every day, those tracks work, but if is sets up or crusts over they just spin. i hated mine!!! switch to a track with a harder compound for all mountain riding conditions.

what kinda snow do you ride in? i tried it on my m7 with the 153 challenger track and on the harder setup snow it hooked up better but in the fluffy stuff it trenched like a mofo. so if you ride a good amount of softer snow id leave it the right way. if you ride primarily setup or harder snow it would probably work better backwards. that being said about a week ago i switched the challenger out to the new powerclaw and i think it is a much better all around track.

My dad has it on backwards on his M7 and it is starting to fall apart. When he first did it, it was AWESOME unless you wanted to get with in 100 yards of him. If you did you got pelted with huge chunks of ice or snow doing 60+ mph

i have over 600 miles on my challenger reversed, hooks up way better but i never had it to the mountains yet so it may trench a little more, but otherwise its one of the best mods i did.

Don't do it. I have seen this done and the thing will trench all the way to China in deep snow. One of my riding partners want to switch it backwhile we were still in the deep.

had a friend do it the sled went up hill great when he came down there was no stoping it ended up in the trees and riped the ski off got it home first thing we did is change track back
