Was searching around for info on the new peak 2.5 track and came across these pic on another forum of the new CE. Is this for all new CE or just certain models? Does anyone have any more info?
claims to be part# 9176M (track on right) replaces the old part# 9944M (track on left)
Saw this on Camoplast website:
"The 2011 versions of this benchmark high country track weigh approximately 8 per cent less than the equivalent models being replaced. Featuring the traditional Challenger design of outside edge lugs on one pitch followed by a center lug on the next pitch, the new Extremes are equipped with a 2.5-inch no-tooth lug. Every lug incorporates support towers in the center and on the edges for excellent lug support, but the section between the towers is thin and flexible under load to improve floatation in soft, bottomless powder."

Lug design looks very similar to the new Peak, which they dont even have on the website.
One of my main concerns is braking power. I currently run a PC and while going forward the performance is great, breaking is almost scary. Im looking for a change.
How do you think the new designs are going to affect braking?
And why no 3" pitch for the new Peak?
