Chain Tension Adjustment

I went to adjust the chain tension on my new XP and it seems to be seized. I loosened the large nut and can't turn the adjusting bolt in or out. Anyone else notice that it was hard to turn or couldn't?

they put locktite on from the factory. Turn it in and out a few times with a wrench and it should go easier. If it won't move with a wrench you got another problem.

anybody know how to adjust? cant do it with fingers..too tight! with a wrench,you could keep turning till the cows come home!

I'm thinking you might have a problem and should take the chaincase cover off for a peek! You should be able to tighten it with your fingers and then back it off enough to get the cotter pin through the hole, thats it! Sherm
