CATS SVX 450 PURPOSE BUILT?

Rumor I heard was, it was to do with getting them certified as a snowmobile. That is the sticking point for cat they want them to be able to be licensed in the midwest. Came from a pretty good source that wasn't my uncles friends cousin that heard something from some guy LOL

Cat had a meeting with some of thier western dealers last week. A couple things I was told was for the 2017 model year there will only be demo machines available to ride. The SVX 450 will be a 2018 production model. No snowbike available for sale for the up coming season. The other interesting thing was the brake/clutch lever. I guess in some mid-western states for an over the snow production vehicle to be legal, the hand brake must be opposite the throttle on the bars. So the brake lever has to be on the clutch side. Cats got some new brake/clutch system that both work on the same lever on the left handlebar. Have to see how that works out when the demo machines arrive. More info at haydays.
